Hair Salon/Hair Stylist RAVE!!
This is very specific LOL because if you live in/around Garden City/Nassau this would work for you... If not, it's kinda far but I still had to post and rave because today, while I was at work, in a pinch, I needed a blow out for an event that I must attend. I went near work to "La Bella Vita" Salon, located in Garden City -- right on Franklin, pretty convenient.
The woman I saw, Hana, was AMAZING.
First, they use all Aveda products there which impressed me. She was able to give me a full, with wavy curls, gorgeous blow out and do my whole head of hair (and I have a lot of hair) in forty minutes on my lunch hour. And that was start to finish, including the shampoo. So, I have to say, she did such a great job and gave such attention to detail with styling but I wasn't there for two hours either -- so, quick yet doesn't scrimp on a quality style.
LOVE -- very impressed. I wish I lived closer to here because more often than not, when I need a good haircut or a blowout I would need it close to home.
I saw her finishing the person before me, who had a cut, color, and blow dry and wow -- the cut and color was just gorgeous. So, you can tell she is great.
She was also lovely and very nice.

How were the prices? I'm always looking for someone good. Garden City is fairly doable for me.
The shampoo and blowout with style (wavy curles) was $35
Everything price-wise that I saw on the "menu" looked on par with most salons I've been to.
