Spinoff - matte lips
I really like the nude matte lip look, but I feel like it brings out the worst in your lips - every little crease and imperfection. Does a lip primer help with this? I've never used one but maybe should try that?

I wish i knew.
I tried matte once and my lips looked awful
Like it aged the shit out of me.
Maybe there's a trick?

Yeah I feel like an old lady with matte, too. i have it but I always add that dot of gloss, you know?

Plus exfoliating and then moisturizing your lips at night help when you wear your matte lipstick during the day.

I always exfoliate beforehand and then use a lip primer under the matte color.
side note - I do feel like matte nudes (lighter ones) do bring out more imperfections/lines compared to a darker color.
