Lilies and they died within a week. I gave up after that

Boxwood in the backyard and shooting star hydrangea in the front yard. Edit, I planted back in early April, I would think it is too late to plant things now. You could try planting things in September for next spring.

Grass lol. Then we missed the window to add anything else bc we didn't want to walk on the new grass.
