So what kinda flowers are we going to plant this year?
I have a beautiful hydrangea bush in front of my house and I cannot wait for it to bloom again! Other than that, I have no idea what I am planting yet!
Soooo what will you be planting??

i always get geraniums because they are cheap and last so long.
we rent a little house , so i try not to go overboard, but i still want the place to look cheery.
i just hate going outside to plant them because i live on a busy, busy avenue...and I always feel weird bending down with my butt in the air and planting stuff.

Nice! I like the look of the geraniums! I need color too since my house is brown and it just looks blah so I need color to brighten it up for spring.

Re: So what kinda flowers are we going to plant this year?
I do two big pots of geraniums. A big pot of purple petunias and some sort of pink flower in the middle for height. Two big pots of begonias mixed with coleus. The beds will get snapdragons, new daylilies, dianthus and edges of impatiens. I need something higher for the back, so I'm thinking of putting in some new hollyhocks and phlox. My garden is 11 years old, so there are a lot of perenials so I don't do that much in annuals.

Probably some petunias along the driveway. Most of my gardens are full of perennials.

I planted my tulip bulbs in the fall and they just started to sprout a couple of weeks ago.

You might be thinking of creeping phlox. My one clump was planted about 8 years ago. Evey fall I cut back the dead stems to just above the ground, and new growth pops up in the spring. Gets to be about 4 feet tall. I just keep the plant contained in a tomato cage for aesthetic reasons. Just plant in a sunny well drained location.

I promise to do so. I live in a garden co-op, so I have two beds in the front, and a nice sized walkway to put the pots in. My neighbors tell me that I'm welcome to spread out, so I will probably be moving some of my perennials around the courtyard.

I had purple petunias last year & I loved them. Nice deep dark purple. I think I will do them again this year. Here are my pots from last year.

Re: So what kinda flowers are we going to plant this year?
NONE!! Lt year i found out that the tree roots run high and there are tons of any hills. Planting was a failure,so I'll just have ugly mounds of dirt this year
