Paying OOP for FET - WWYD?
$4600, one cycle; $11,500 for as many cycles using up your frozen embies until you use them all or give birth to live baby. If not, you get full refund. I have 6 embies so most cycles I can do would be 3. When I did fresh IVF in 2014 I paid $18,000 that let me have up to 3 cycles. I got a BFP during the first one. What would you do? I am leaning towards pay per cycle but I am not sure. Meds not included with either option; Both programs cover pre-med appointment/ initial monitoring visit, monitoring during cycle, thawing of embryo, embryo transfer and 1 first pregnancy test.

Paying OOP for FET - WWYD?
Just out of curiosity what RE are you with?
This is a tough one because if the first transfer doesn't work then I feel like its worth it. If it does then so not worth it. Its a gamble so I'm no help sorry.
Wishing you the best of luck!

Being that your first one worked and you would need to do 3 to make it worth it I think I would just pay per cycle in your case.

Are you sure about the full refund? When I did IVF 4 years ago, there was no option for a refund. I did a fresh cycle and had none left to freeze. BFN. If I took out the plan that was offered to me, I would've paid a ton of money for nothing.

Yes I am. We both read the contract and went over it with both the RE and the financial counselor: "If you do not deliver a live born baby with this treatment, 100% of the fee will be refunded to you. We offer this program as evidence that our confidence in our success rates enables us to “share the risk” financially with our patients."

That's what I am thinking. Pay as you go. At that point if I have to go 3 times it takes me to $13,800. If #1 or #2 takes, I save that money.
