WWYD re: paying the babysitter

The babysitter is coming at 10:30 and stays until 2:30. I know Charlie will fall asleep at around 1:30 today, maybe 2pm the latest. Do I send the sitter home at 2pm and pay her until 2:30 or make her stay until 2:30 while he sleeps??

I think you are saying that you will be home and that is why you can send the sitter home, but in any case.
I think if you already told the sitter you will need her until 2:30 - she is expecting to be paid until that time.
If you said you weren't sure until what time, then you can probably send her home.

i owuld ask her when she she comes if she would rather leave early or stay...how much $$ are we talking...is she a younge person like a motheres helper, maybe she could do somehting else around the house

If no matter what, you are planning on paying her until 2:30, let her go at 2. Think how much we would appreciate a little perk like that every now and again

I honestly would not send her home. Let her hang out until 2:30pm in case Charlie does wake up. I'm sure she is already set to work until 2:30pm anyway. Just ask her to hang out.

What is your agreement with her?

If you know your little one is going to sleep at the same time every day why not just ask her to leave at that time every day?

Or if she wants the extra dough and he is sleeping maybe she could do some ironing for you
