Leave replacement?
We just found out who our daughter's teacher will be for this year and the teacher is a leave replacement teacher. Does this mean she will not teach her the full year?

Length of leave replacements depend on the amount of leave time the original teacher is taking. It could be a few weeks, months, or the whole year

This-it depends on how long the teacher wants to stay out. That being said, I really wouldn't worry about it being a leave. With three way the market has been, many have many years of experience teaching, they just haven't had their own classroom.

This-it depends on how long the teacher wants to stay out. That being said, I really wouldn't worry about it being a leave. With three way the market has been, many have many years of experience teaching, they just haven't had their own classroom.
I agree with this completely. I taught years ago, then was a SAHM for awhile and went back to work 4 years ago. Bc the market is so saturated for teachers on Long Island, I have had 5 "leaves". 3 were just for 6-8 weeks, and 2 were half the school year. The material covered is exactly the same.
