Starting school
My daughter is starting school next week at BCW and I am so nervous. I know this is the best thing for her but I just feel like she's so young to be gone all day and also go on the bus. I guess I also feel a little sad that she needs to go to a special school. My son is a year older and they would have been in school together this year. I don't know what I am looking for but I just needed to get that out.

Re: Starting school
I understand how you feel, it is overwhelming to think they are so little and going to school. My son has been going since he was 2 (first in EI based program at the school then into their pre-k program) but it is the best thing for them to help them and it become part of their routine. For me it actually was a lot less stressful once my DS went to school and got all of his therapy there because I didn't have to worry about the therapists coming to the house all of the time.

Re: Starting school
I know the feeling! My son started on the bus at age 3 going to a specialized school. It gets easier, it gets better. I can tell you that it is the best for them. My son is graduating from High School this school year! Without the awesome support and services he started receiving at such an early age, he wouldn't be where he is now. Hang in there!

This is how I felt also.
