Can you run at the school track while school is in session?
I don't want to run on the street. There is a high school track right across from my sons preschool. Can I drop him off and go for a run at the track over at the school. Not sure if you are allowed while school is in session. TIA!

Can you run at the school track while school is in session?
I would think so. I remember people doing this when I was in HS and they'd use the outside lanes. The school most likely only utilizes the track for like 2 weeks in the fall and spring so it should not be an issue for most of the year.

We are not allowed to use the track while school is in session. They literally lock the gates from the various entrances. I'd call the athletic department and ask. We can use the track at night and weekends when no sports activities are taking place on the fields.
I usually run at our local park. They have a run/walk/ bike lane set up specifically for this so you don't have to worry about cars while exercising.

The high school by my house has a sign that says you cannot use the track during school hours. I'd try to find a park with a path you can run.

Hmm. I'm gonna probably say no. I was on the track team in high school and if we had a random free period in the middle of the day, our coach would want us to do laps.
I never saw any adults on our track, but never really thought it about back then.

Same in my district you cannot use the track whole school is in session or during afternoon sports or weekend games
