I don't remember eating this much as a kid. Chat Icon

Anyway, do you have specific snacks that you throw in JUST for snack?

I give an apple or some kind of fruit every day and the other snack varies- pretzels and cheese, Pirate Booty, cheese crackers, celery and sunbutter, or something not sweet. He chooses when to eat each snack.

For a lunch box snack I've been giving a yogurt tube and fruit. Her afternoon snack in the classroom has been granola bars, pretzels, cheez-its, animal crackers, half of a homemade apple muffin. She told me some kids bring in 2 or 3 things for afternoon snack!

DS is pretty picky so he gets almost the same thing each day - lunch is ham cubes or nitrate-free hot dog, baby carrots, grapes, yogurt pouch, and a small amount of Frosted Cheerios (we have YumBox that has everything in separate sections). Then his snack is something typically with more carbs - pretzels, Annie's cheddar bunnies, or soy chips.

I usually do fruit (apple slices, grapes) or cucumbers with hummus...I tend do throw a few snacks in there and let them choose which to eat at what time, but my girls are a bit older (3rd and 4th grade)...they do get 1 choice snack, which is Oreo thins, Pringles, pretzels, or some variation.

Lunch snack is always a yogurt tube and a cheese stick unless his lunch has cheese then no cheese stick.

Classroom snack is either a cereal bar, crackers and cheese, Goldfish, pretzels - things like that.

For classroom snack it's apple slices, a banana, those little packages of mini blueberry muffins, those little things of hummus and pretzel thins. For lunch snack they get any of the above or sometimes those little pretzel sticks and cheese packets, yogurt cups, cereal bar. I usually also stick in grapes or something with their lunch.

I send in granola bars, pirate booty, cheez its, chips, yogurt etc.
Lunch gets a fruit pouch with lunch.
Per the teachers request lunch and snack are done in separate containers and this way he knows what is what.

For lunch snack it's generally a fruit along with pudding. Our lunch is early and class snack around 1. For class snack right we are on muffin bites.

Lunch Snacks - Yogurt and Welch's Gummy Treats

Classroom Snacks - Goldfish crackers, pretzel sticks, a cheese stick, crackers, granola bar, or sometimes a special treat like a homemade cookie.
