Class mom - Halloween party
I am class mom with a friend for DS's kindergarten class. After the parade we have about an hour for the party. Let me know if this sounds good...
read Halloween book (while reading the other mom will set up the table for crafts) after the book we will make a candy corn monster. We'll help the kids put it together then put aside to dry. Play the mummy game where each table picks a kid and wraps them in toilet paper. Snacks - cupcakes and chips. We'll put out some candies they can decorate their own cupcake
Sound good? Any other thoughts or ideas? There are 2 class moms and we have 2 other moms volunteering so there's a mom per table to help out.

There are 4 of us volunteering to help with the kids and that doesn't include the teacher so with enough of us we should be good to get it cleaned up fast enough. Hopefully. LOL

I just saw another awesome idea on a mom board..
A "feel something gooey" activity. They have to put their hand in a bag and guess what it is. Cooked spaghetti... Olives.. Etc..

Sounds good, in the past I have also had kids clean up toilet paper with no problems.
Our school as a strict no food policy for parties, not sure if your school might have something similar regarding the cupcakes

We did this last year for our home Halloween party. I set up an entire lab and we used these printables, it was really fun!!!
We also made "flubber"...super easy with borox, glue and water

Re: Class mom - Halloween party
A class parent in my class once got huge rolls of bubble wrap and taped it down on the floor and played the monster mash song...the kids loved it!

I checked. We're allowed snacks for the party. One child is gluten free so we are going to buy gluten free snacks for the kids and maybe for the cupcakes we'll either try gluten free mix or ask the mom to bring in something for her.

Class mom - Halloween party
I personally think decorating cupcakes can be a disaster. I would stick with the games. I am also a K class mom. We are doing a craft & having cupcake as a snack.

So jealous. Our K class is allowed no food!!! The rest of the school has been allowed store bought stuff only, but starting with this year's K class, no food at all, not even healthy food.

Thanks! WE were just gonna out some candy out to put on top of the cupcake, but we'll see about that. We'll ice it and make it orange.

I think so too. You have a lot going on in just one hour too. It goes quick! Our class is just doing a craft and having a cupcake/water for snack.

We've done this several times with cookies, cupcakes, gingerbread houses, and it's never been a disaster and the kids loved it.
