California pizza kitchen party for 6 year old boy?
Thoughts?

California pizza kitchen party for 6 year old boy?
My DD went to one. I want to say for 7 year old party (it might have been 8 - but either way, older than 6). It was cute. The kids went to the kitchen, saw how you make pizza, flattened their own dough, added their own toppings, and then ate the pizza they made. The kids all seemed to have fun.

We went to one and the only issue at the time (they were 4 or 5, I want to say) was the downtime when the pizzas were cooking. Other than that it was a cute party

Went to 7 yo party there. It was fine. Could be a bit boring in general but the kids enjoyed it.

We just went to one for a child older than that, and the kids had fun. They played bingo, which the mom brought, while the pizzas were being cooked.

The party is fine for that age - it's cute and fun but it doesn't have the bells and whistles of the constant excitement of the other places (pump it up, active kids, etc). That said it is much cheaper than the other places so it's kind of a you get what you pay for situation...

What about buying each kid an apron to decorate while the pizza is cooking? Then they can take it home as the favor!

Decorating aprons or even chef hats would be cute also. The party we went to, the mom had made personalized aprons for each child, and ordered the huge chef hats from Oriental Trading

California pizza kitchen party for 6 year old boy?
I am not a huge fan of these parties unless you have a group that are old enough (or maybe mature enough?) to sit and not need to be up playing the whole time. We have gone to 3 in the last year and only 1 did I think went smoothly and not feel stressed and that was for a 7 year old girl party (all girls). It can be hard for some kids to kinda just sit. One was for a 5 year old boy and it was so stressful bc so many of the kids were up running around and playing tag in the restaurant lol
