Build-a-Bear Birthday Parties

Has anyone ever done one or been to one at the Smithaven Mall location? If so, I'd love reviews. The one thing that is stressing me out is that you can't have food there so I know the options are dragging all of the kids to the food court OR over to California Pizza Kitchen which is what I'll prob do because the thought of the chaos in the food court isn't so attractive to me.

Any other ideas?

Thanks!

Re: Build-a-Bear Birthday Parties

We have been to two and I have different opinions on each. The first one was a small party with just close friends. Maybe about 6 - 7 kids. It was cute, my boys loved it. Well, my youngest was 1 at the time then my older was 3 and he slept with his bear for years. We all did go for pizza after, which wasn't part of the party, but two families just stayed to hang out.
The 2nd one was from a classmate and much bigger. Still cute, but too much down time between. Kids were getting bored. It was also in early Dec and mall was packed.

I think if it's a small party with close family friends it's fun. Any bigger and can get nuts. They play with kids sitting on the floor trying to keep them entertained while other families there are walking around us. It can get hectic.

I do think it is the cutest favor though.
