Spinoff on curtains or blinds thread-
So I've had paper shades for years I just haven't found any window treatments thatI love that I can justify spending that kind of money
In our living room I have a bank of four large casements with a big semi circle window on top. I bought a double curtain rod, sheets and curtains (which are still sitting in the basement). I would have the curtains installed in the space between the semi circle and casements. Semi circle wouldn't get a window treatment at all.
My mom is insisting that I'll be disappointed and will regret not getting wood looking blinds (in white) in addition to the double rod/sheers and curtains
Do you guys think blinds sheers and curtains is overkill? (The curtains would be side panels and more for the color; I feel like they'd probably always be off to th sides)

I have shades, sheer curtains and a valance in my living room. We are in the process of painting and picking out new furniture and getting new window treatments. The window (it's a big bay window) will have wood blinds, sheers, a valance and side panels, so obviously I don't think it will overkill

If you have a formal looking space I think it fits good. I feel it is an older look and I prefer something more modern but not too modern, no curtains here but higher end window shades. I think curtains high up and both sides of the windows is a clean modern look, no sheers or valances.
