First Disney trip questions
So we randomly bid on a Disney trip at our school fundraiser and won. Very excited but it is this June and now I see how much you can prepare in advance. We are going for a week. Traveling with a 4 and 7 year old. My thought is to attend a fireworks display the first night if any, magic kingdom the next day, Hollywood studios the next, pool day, Epcot and unsure about the rest of the days. How does this sound? Also can we just walk into a restaurant if we want to go out to dinner or breakfast? I do not plan on character dinners unless I could on such short notice. Thank you for any tips!

First Disney trip questions
awesome!!! what a great win!! LOL so... it sounds good. only thing is about going to fireworks the first night. you'll need a park ticket to get into the park to watch them (if thats what you were planning) SOO it just depends on if you want to use up a whole park ticket day just to go in for a couple hours and watch the fireworks. (not sure how many days of tickets you got) A pool day is definitely a good idea with kids those ages. my boys are the same ages- and we usually do 2 park days in a row, and then a down day just hanging around the hotel, or maybe going to a waterpark, depending on what tickets we have. you could probably do a second dat at Magic kingdom with one of your other days- theres a lot to see there!! Don't forget animal kingdom, too- theres some cool stuff there, like the Dinosaur ride, lion king show, the safari, the whole new pandora section is neat to walk around As far as meals- i would create an account at My disney experience, and make a couple reservations. even non character meals get booked up. and for a first trip, i would probably try to do at least once character meal, just for the experience. Garden Grill at EPCOT is a good one, or Tusker House if you go to animal kingdom. SCI FI drive in at hollywood studios is neat. you eat in "cars", so its set up like a drive-in movie theater... i don't think you'll be totally out of luck if you don't do any resravtions though. theres a lot of great quick service places. what you DO want to do soon is your fast passes!! you're allowed to pick 3 rides a day to fast pass.... again, you do it on the My Disney Experience site/ app..... message me anytime- we've been going to Disney every year, and LOVE talking disney LOL
