smoothing treatment for hair (kerasilk, sweet treatment, etc.)
Has anyone had this done? I would like to try it- definitely would like something that is formaldehyde (sp?) free. Any suggestions for a specific treatment or salon (suffolk)? Also wondering - do I need to use special shampoo after this treatment? I wash my hair about twice a week right now - will I still be able to do that? TIA for any advice or info you can share!

The look in greenlawn I go to for formaldehyde free keratin. You need sulfate free shampoo. I go to Doreen, the owner, she is excellent.

I get my keratin done at Salon Kroma in Babylon. Yes you have to use sulfate free shampoo. You also shouldn’t regularly get your hair wet in either chlorine or salt water. I have fairly straight hair but the keratin helps in the summer to prevent frizz

Have you looked into Magic Sleek? It is Formaldehyde Free as well.
I had it done last year, made it straighter, silky, and shiny. Need to do it again actually. It lasted a good couple of months.
ETA: No special shampoo needed. You can but not necessary.

I have heard great things about this. Would you mind me asking where you had it done, and how much it was? Thanks!

I get it done in Garden City (my girlfriend owns a salon). She did it at cost; but I believe its roughly around $250+?
