We watched it, I thought it was just ok. They really don't explain why this happened or I might have missed it. Didn't keep me on the edge of my seat, and I love Sandra Bullock.

I cried at the end. I read an interesting article online which stated its about how white people don't want to see racism. Very interesting analogy. Nevertheless I thought it was good. They kept suspense going. And as a side note I can't believe Sandra Bullock is 54. She looks great!

We saw it the other night. Overall, I liked it. But I didn’t like the back and forth in timelines. I hate when movies do that.
I read that Sandra was blindfolded 50% of just making the movie. That’s a long time. I wouldn’t be able to go a few minutes. And those kids were fantastic playing their roles.
It eventually gave me a Michael Jackson feel since he used to make his kids do that.
I didn’t want her boyfriend to “see” it but it was too late. ??

I haven't seen it but the trailers remind me of another movie we watched On Demand a few months back- I forget the name of it. But in that one they couldn't make a sound. Any sound they made would alert some 'creatures' to their presence and they would be immediately swooped up by said creatures.
Same concept right? Except with seeing instead of making a sound?

Yeah I thought it was pretty awful.
So that is kind of why i haven't been too anxious to watch this one- because it seems like the same concept.

I watched it last night and just thought it was ok. No real plot or explanation as to why. And I would rather not spend 2 hours of my life watching someone run around with a blindfold on.

I was not about to watch it after thinking it was like "A Quiet Place". There are similar elements, but it is different.
There are more social elements to this that I found amusing & entertaining.
John Malkovich was a delightful surprise.
As was the actress that played "Dumplin'".
And yes, those two kids were great.
I was surprised I enjoyed it so much.

I was just talking to DH about this. We thought it was ok.
The reason we believe it got so much hype and so many views in such a short period of time is because the release date was perfect timing! Nothing was On. Like - nothing. No shows are back, no new seasons of anything. It was free on Netflix. Of course everyone watched it lol

I keep mentioning it to my husband when we have literally NOTHING to watch and he just keeps saying, Nah and turning on reruns of King of Queens on the DVR.
I doubt we'll watch this.
