Getting to Miami from JFK
We are going to miami/south beach for mem day wknd. For the last decade Ive only flown jetblue and had forgot they dont go into MIA. Who do you fly to Miami? Thanks.
ETA: Or is is better to just fly into fort lauderdale? but how would we get to miami/SB from there? I am not renting a car.

Getting to Miami from JFK
Delta flies to Miami. I pretty much only fly Delta or Jet Blue And Terminal 2 at JFK where Delta flies from domestically is quiet, with super short security lines, we love it. I wouldn't fly into Fort Lauderdale. It doesn't seem like it is too far from Miami, but there's so much traffic around there it could easily turn into a 2 hour drive.

Agree. If delta goes... it’s a great airline.
I only fly JetBlue & delta.
The drive between Ft lauderdale to Miami is about 1 hour or more. Not bad IF you are renting a car and can get a great deal on a flight... but parking in Miami is a PITA.

I prefer the FLL airport over MIA. I usually fly JetBlue and drive.

We are doing this for Memorial day as well.

FLL does sound tempting. Honestly Im nervous about Delta, but the convenience is good too.
Nell, it was a toss up between Lowes, Palms and Bently. Kids wanted the Bently. lol

Be careful when booking Delta. Do not under any circumstance book Basic Economy. It's a nightmare and once it's booked you can't change it. And it's easy to book it by accident, it's not very clear when booking.
And with kids you want to be able to pick your seats, etc.
Nightmare. Turned me off to Delta.
But just be on the lookout for that

Yes make sure to book Main Cabin on Delta. We've flown either Delta or Jet Blue the past few years and I like Delta. We haven't had any problems. They've upgraded the interiors of their planes and have TV's with a ton of options. My son was able to watch all of his favorite Pixar movies when we went to FLL in February.

Yup! My last flight there were dozens of kids who did not have seats next to their parents. It was a total shit show! The flight attendants were complaining that the site needs to be more clear on that! And I agree!
