Getting to JFK - family of 4?
Any recommendations? We'll be traveling with 2 toddlers and plenty of lugguage.

What about an airport shuttle? It''s probably worth it since you are a family of 4. Try Winston Transportation. I think you can get a quote online. Good luck!

Getting to JFK - family of 4?
Are you close to any of the LIRR stations? If so, you could take AirTran. It's super easy. Takt the train to Jamaica station, then hop on the AirTran which drops you right off at the terminals.

We always do this and it is the greatest thing ever. Drive your car, leave it there, hop on a shuttle with your luggage and they drop you right off at the terminal. There are always coupons if you google for them.http://www.theparkingspot.com/

I LOVE the air train BUT with a ton of luggae and toddlers- it's not the best.
You have to drag all your luggae on the LIRR- then get it all off at Jamaica and through the terminal.
It's a great option for when you are travelling without a ton of luggage though.

This is what we do. Its so easy!
This. It ends up being about the same price or cheaper than a car service for both departure and arrival.
I highly suggest not using a Van service such as Winston where you pick up others. You could be the first pick up and then drive around picking up others and makes for a LONG day and not good with toddlers!!!!

We always use Airport Shuttle - don't know the name of the company it's the one with the blue vans. We use them for airport transportation AND whenever we go to the various ports for our cruises. The big vans fit 8 of us with all of our luggage easily.

We use the Parking Spot and it really is the easiest thing ever.
If you have AAA, they may have a coupon!

Its completely gated/fenced and manned 24hr/day. Have never had a problem. Car is returned to you just how you left it. And you can make a reservation ahead of time (but you don't have to pay until after you pick up your car), to make sure you have a spot. I've never not made a reservation, so I don't know if they get full and turn people away. But the service is always quick and friendly - it really makes getting to/from the airport so much easier.

I don't know how much it costs to park at the airport, but The Parking Spot is about $13-$15 per day, from what I remember (you can usually find a coupon online for a few dollars off per day)
