Eden question
What’s better, the 2 room king suite or the one bedroom premier suite? DH and I want space where we can hang out and watch tv after DD goes to sleep.

Eden question
I like the two room suite better. I usually put the kids to bed in the front space... then shut the door when they go to bed and still have the kitchen and backroom to ourselves. I usually opt for the patio as well so we can sit outside and have a drink. That front room also does not have any windows which is good to keep light out for the kids to sleep!

Thanks that’s what I was thinking, too.
Any tips? How is the food in the restaurants? We’ll probably go to Dutch Wonderland and maybe the railroad museum. Anything else nearby worth it for a 3 year old? I think she’s too young for Hershey.

We did the two room suite. It’s either two rooms connected together by a small hallway or two adjoining rooms.

Food in the restaurants is pretty good. Some stuff is better than others. Theres also plenty of other restaurants around that you can go to. Outback is across the street. My husband and I ate take out from there one night after the kids went to bed. There are smorgasboards and stuff of that nature. Every time I go to those i regret it. Just not for me.
For that age group you can also check out Cherry Crest Farm and The Turkey Hill ice cream factory.

Go across the street to either Outback or Carrabbas.
Not gourmet but edible.
That area is not known for gourmet cuisine unfortunately. I am also not a fan of all those buffets in the area, no thanks.
Another REALLY good option for dinner is a 10-15 minute drive-a brewery- but kid friendly.
Let me remember the name. Food was actually good!
ETA- Lancaster Brewing Company.
And they recently opened an Iron Hill Brewery in the area too. Haven't tried that since we haven't been there in a while.

It's fine for a pool side lunch- they deliver to your chair- (and boozy drinks to your chair too!) but not for dinner.

We are not smorgasbord/buffet people, either. Brewery sounds good. We can take DD pretty much anywhere. She’s fairly well behaved and won’t eat anything she orders so no menu restrictions for her! I’ll do a search on here to see past suggestions.
Turkey hill is perfect because DD does in fact eat ice cream.
Should I bring towels for the pool area?

Eden has towel service
But if you use the water park at Dutch Wonderland, you need to bring your own.
We made that rookie mistake the first year and had to drip dry! LOL

Iron Hill Brewery is awesome. We went there twice! Great kids menu. Cherry Crest Adventure Farm is also perfect for that age.

Its an even larger version of Harbes. I didnt think it was that hot but we went when it opened. It is totally worth it for a 3 year old.

I will update you after this weekend- we are going with our neighbors. Staying in the 2 bedroom villa suite with them so that we can hangout downstairs in the living room while the kids sleep upstairs

Just an FYI
I have stayed in this set up 3 times. You will need to walk through one room to get to the other room. This is problematic when you want to go upstairs and the kids are alseep and then again if you are an early riser and want to head downstairs. We are early risers and had to always tip toe out of our room through my sister's room to get downstairs.

We went two years ago to Cherry Hill when it was insanely hot. They had huge fans and misters, but it is literally a field with no shade. We are all fair skinned as well and I make sure we bring hats and lots of sunscreen and water. DW also has very little shade so be prepared for that as well.

Just got back- and no, you do not need to walk through one room to get to the other. This room was a 3-floor suite. When you enter the room, you walk up a flight of stairs to get to the living room, dining room, 1/2 bath and kitchen. Then you go up another flight to go to bedroom 1 (king bed and full bath with beautiful shower), and bedroom 2 (two queen beds and full bath with tub/shower combo). We LOVED the room. 3 bathrooms was amazing, and once the kids went to sleep upstairs we got to hangout, drink and play board games with the other couple we shared with. I would 100% stay in that room again.
Oh i also wanted to add that the resort was fantastic. free ice cream outside the pool everyday at 2:30pm, poolside food/drink service, ice pops get passed out around noon... The pool itself is amazing for the kids and the splash pad was perfect for them. I also loved the ledge that goes around the whole main pool so you can sit in the water but not have to go all the way in. Garfield's restaurant (inside by the main lobby) was good for the kids too and prices were really reasonable.

Yes, we were given that same villa once for free. We booked the normal 2 room suite in the main building and maybe they were short on rooms or maybe they had openings so they upgraded us to that villa.
It could have housed 10 people. It was bigger than my home.
It was incredible.
What a freebie!
