Nose bleeds in 6 year old

Does anyone else's children get nose bleeds? How often? I spoke with the pediatrician and he's not concerned because they don't last a long time but just wondering what everyone else's experience is.

My son had nosebleeds often when he was younger. He had it cauterized, and that didn't really work. Then after some blood work, it was discovered that he has a blood clotting disorder, and bloody noses are a symptom of it.

My 9 year old has frequent nose bleeds at times and has for years now. He bleeds a lot (I only realized that it was a lot when his younger brother got a nosebleed and it bled considerably less.) He had bloodwork bc the ped did decide to check for a clotting disorder but everything was fine. He has allergies and the allergist said that contributes to the nosebleeds. It's hard to see my son when he has a bloody nose bc it's so much blood and takes so long to stop but he's gotten used to it and doesn't get as scared anymore.

My son gets them regularly, more so in the winter with the dry heat. He varies from a bit of blood to a gusher. I took him to the ENT. They didn't want to cauterize him at that point because they felt it was a traumatic. They told us to use Ayr nasal saline gel and put it in his nostrils (like the rim) before bed time. It definitely helped.

My daughter gets them when allergy season starts to ramp up. That’s our sign to start on the meds.

My daughter gets nose bleeds often in winter and during allergy season. She had her nose cauterized when she was 4 without any issue and it helped buta few years have passed and she still gets nose bleeds. Definitly helps to use a humidifier and nasal spray (Nasogel) in dry weather.
