Potluck dessert ideas?
We have our annual friends holiday dinner coming up and I'll be doing dessert. I am out of ideas... in the past years I've done.... s'mores bars, brownies, cannoli dip, red velvet truffles, cupcakes, sopapilla cheesecake bars, homemade rainbow cookies, chocolate churro bombs, eggnog macarons.. more stuff that I can't think of. It's gotta be a good dessert for adults and kids.
I was thinking of doing a brownie trifle, but eh, I'm not sure. Then I thought cheesecake bars... I saw recipes for Oreo cheesecake bars or creme brulee... but I feel like I need something else for the kids. Maybe chocolate filled sugar cookie cups? Maybe just chocolate crinkle cookies or M&M chocolate chip cookies? HELPPP!
ETA: Now I'm thinking cannoli cream horns? They look fun to make! And then a dessert for the kids... hmm... Maybe just mini cupcakes? Funfetti with holiday sprinkles? That's all kids want anyway lol.

Our go to is a crumb cake. Everyone goes for the crumbcake : ). I made hand pies a few times too and they were a hit.

Graham cracker napoleon! SO easy and people go crazy for it. Make 2 days in advance for best results. Must sit at least 24 hours for graham crackers to soften.
Graham Cracker Napoleon
Ingredients:
1 box graham crackers
2 (3 1/4-ounce) boxes instant French vanilla pudding (you could also use vanilla pudding in place of french vanilla, but add extra vanilla extract)
3 cups milk (whole, 1 or 2 % is fine)
2 (8-ounce) containers of Cool Whip
Few splashes of vanilla extract (to taste)
Container vanilla frosting (NOT whipped)
½ container of chocolate frosting (NOT whipped)
Line the bottom of an aluminum pan with graham crackers. In bowl of an electric mixer, mix pudding with milk; beat at medium speed for 2 minutes. Fold in whipped topping. Add vanilla extract to taste. Pour half the pudding mixture over graham crackers. Place another layer of whole graham crackers on top of pudding layer. Pour over remaining half of pudding mixture and cover with another layer of graham crackers.
Scoop entire container of vanilla frosting into a microwave safe bowl or mug. Microwave for a few seconds until it is pourable. Pour over the top of the graham crackers so the entire top is covered. Next microwave about ½ of a container of chocolate frosting until pourable and put large drops of the chocolate right on top of the vanilla. Immediately take a butter knife and drag it through the frosting to create the swirled look. Refrigerate overnight. Enjoy!
