Great FL resort
Hi guys - we're trying to plan a trip to FL in late March or early April. It's just me and DH. He wants to play lots of golf; I want to sit by a nice pool or beach and read a good book & drink while he golfs any ideas? We have stayed at the Ritz Carlton in Amelia Island a few times and loved it, but it's too cold there in the early spring. Looking for something similar - a resort-type situation so that I can hang out alone for part of the day. Unfortunately, nearby golf is a must. We're tentatively looking at the Ritz Carlton Golf Resort in Naples. Editing to add - last year at that time we did Clearwater - had a blast - but there wasn't much golf in the immediate area, and i'd like to try somewhere new this year anyway. Thanks!

Is there any golf in the Keys? I have 2 amazing resorts there I could recommend. One in Key Largo, one in Marathon. But not sure about golf in the area

What resorts can you recommend?
In Key Largo- the first Key- Playa Largo Resort and Spa. It was the most beautiful place. We went last Septemeber
In Marathon- Isla Bella Beach Resort. Brand new, and stunning. We are going in April but the reviews everywhere- Facebook, Trip Adviser, etc are just incredible. I can't wait. It looks amazing.

Re: Great FL resort
I love the Naples area... great restaurants and good weather.
Have stayed a bunch of times at Ritz Naples Beach hotel and I love it. It’s a really great resort with a fantastic beach. First time was when I was pregnant and was high risk and wanted to stay near US hospitals. It’s like a resort overseas but without the hassles.
The Ritz Naples Golf hotel that’s nearby has a shuttle to the Beach hotel and I’m pretty sure you can use both resorts amenities but double check.. I stayed at beach off peak because 3 little kids and $$$. The Beach hotel may be sold out now in Spring or crazy $$$.
If you can swing it, look at a club level room if you stay at the Beach hotel. That club level is one of the highest level of the whole chain. It’s amazing: drinks, multiple presentations that are really high end.
Last, if you do go, use the hotel photographer and get some pics. We took the best we have there.

Thank you so much! I am also leaning towards Naples. We’ve never been and it looks so nice.
I briefly looked into the Keys last night but get the feeling there isn’t much golf.
Now I have to also google the Marco island Marriott posted above...
Thanks for the ideas!

We have been looking at this! I think I’d like to be right on the beach though, so that’s a drawback of PGA. But it’s on our radar for sure.
