Re: Feelings
Wow. I usually don't have patience for long videos but what she was saying was starting to hit home with me and I watched the whole thing. I think a lot of people feel this way. I am very sad.

It makes me feel a little more normal to see that a mental health provider is feeling this way. We should all give ourselves permission to feel whatever it is we feel during these times.

Re: Feelings
I totally understand what this woman is saying. I felt like that about a month ago. It was similar feelings that I had after I first separated from my husband- the whole grief process and all. I think this time around I just processed it quicker.
That being said, we are all in different stages. I guess I’m just at the stage where I have to do the best I can in the situation I am in. The anger is long gone. And I will spend the whole day not doing anything. I have no problem doing that. I’m having one of those days today...

Absolutely agree. Some days just overwhelm me and I breakdown. Yesterday and today are definitely those types of days. Some days I just can't see the positive or the blessing in any of this.

Re: Feelings
so good to hear someone who has "tools" feeling like this.
a little bit ago, i posted about my son having a bad interview and how it reflected on me as his mother. that was a TOTAL meltdown. it was UGLY. once the dust settled, i realized that i had gone bonkers... not because i truly felt like a failure as his mother... but because there were so many other things, fears, worries, thoughts, stressors that i broke down.
since that day, i'm doing my best to pay attention to all the things going through my head. i'm trying to discern the difference between ******** thoughts and thoughts i should allow to be present and process. i fail about half the time lol, but at least i'm much more aware of things, now.
