I’ve got an appointment tomorrow to get rid of these greys!! My hair is the one thing I spend money on and I don’t care if they want me to wear a mask, check my temperature, slather me with sanitizer....I need my hair professionally done and I’ll do whatever they want me to!

The One My Mother Gave Me ;-)

Re: social distancing spinoff... personal grooming

I gave up coloring my hair years ago. I want to say the last time was August 2018, and my sister who is 5 years younger has more gray than I do!!! Chat Icon

Nails on the other hand, are something I was doing every three weeks. Before I was gainfully employed however, I did them myself. I've gone back to that even though the products have changed. I'm still getting the hang of the new products, so I'm doing my nails every two weeks, instead of every 3 if they were done at the salon. I'll probably keep doing them myself, although I reserve the right to change my mind.

Pedicure on the other hand . . . I'm not that flexible anymore. I will go to a salon for that when I think it's safe to do so.

The thing I really truly miss though is monthly massage. I was rear-ended a few years ago and had surgery. I didn't realize how much those massages were keeping the daily pain at bay until being forced to give them up. I can't wait to be able to do that again. I have to be super careful though because DH has some underlying medical conditions that put him at risk for a bad outcome if he contracts Covid.

All in all, I will probably wait until the numbers/data is in after each two week period of the various phases before I venture into anything risky. I really want to wait and see if the numbers spike after all these protests. Numbers are up in areas where there was a lot of Memorial Day celebrating going on.

My hair is long anyway so it's manageable but what I wouldn't do for a manicure and pedicure. And eyebrow shaping.
