4x4 beach pass
What is the best family beach for kids with the 4x4 pass? Thank you!

Gilgo was an absolute madhouse last season. Trucks were literally on top of each other.

No there are passes you get that allow you to drive your truck onto the beach and just use the beach- in certain designated areas of certain beaches.

For Smith Point, you also need a Green Key in order to purchase the beach pass.

That's why we drive like 2-3 miles down the beach. We are closer to Cedar when we stop.

No there are passes you get that allow you to drive your truck onto the beach and just use the beach- in certain designated areas of certain beaches.
Do you know what the pass is called? I looked on I think NYS site ans all is see is fishing ones. Pretty sure Gilgo is listed in the fishing one so I’m curious and confused lol

Gilgo is really for fishing. But as long as you have poles with you they don’t bother you. No one really fishes!!

Ok thanks. That’s what I thought!! But I thought maybe there was just one to go to the beach but I couldn’t find it anywhere.
The only one I found is regarding fishing. I figured everyone gets that and just don’t fish but wasn’t 100% sure

So looks like for Suffolk county beaches you can without actually having to be “fishing” ... I think
Suffolk passes
I never go to the beach but i may consider it if I could drive on it!!
However I only now realize there are way to many different passes/permits and I am all confused. I need a permit/pass for dummies guide or something

This is the pass we get every year, and it is NOT a fishing permit.
