I really wish we could give people who have had this potentially traumatic experience the space to share those experiences and connect, instead of stirring up drama on every single thread related to COVID.

You said this better than I did. I totally agree. It's really not right.

Totally agree but it seems only a certain few are allowed to share experiences, even they were told they were not to if they were not their own.

Windy, you just DO NOT GET IT!!! You can't share because they don't like you. Even if you are trying to be helpful. That makes you seem condescending, sharing an experience you had with a poster that might have benefited from your shared experience.

Some of you are just so nasty! It's kind of funny at the same time though.

I think I count 5 now that did not have Covid, which was a REQUIREMENT to post here but were not told to go away.
I actually tried to help with an issue that might or might not be Covid related and I am still getting yelled at.

I did not have COVID, but, as I have shared, I have a close, fairly young, relative who literally almost died. They are still recovering in a nursing home over 6 months after contracting COVID.

I really wish we could give people who have had this potentially traumatic experience the space to share those experiences and connect, instead of stirring up drama on every single thread related to COVID.

I'm so sorry. That is horrifically sad. Chat Icon I hope that in time they recover.

Thank you so much. They've made significant progress, and we're hopeful! Chat Icon

Question for **ONLY** those who have had COVID

Hope those of you that are struggling with post Covid issues are ok. Had mild case of Covid and no after effects. How many of you that are suffering from post Covid issues are in your 40s? If anxiety issues etc could they also be related to peri menopause? Bc that is something I definitely have experience with. Just a thought, hope I don’t get in trouble for saying it. This conversation as most Covid related ones is quite entertaining. Some posters have a lot of feelings! Lmao

I did not have Covid but I know several people with post Covid issues and they are no joke.

Didn’t u used to say all the time that “anecdotal evidence” doesn’t count??

I always say that. And it's true.

I didn't say it to "share evidence"; it wasn't that kind of conversation. I shared it to empathize and make her feel better after YOU and several others derailed the thread. I would not have posted if you had left it alone and let her have the conversation with people WHO HAD POST COVID ISSUES without bringing up the vaccine.

That’s the excuse u’re coming up with?!? Lol. Gotcha.

It's called empathy.

Let me put it to you this way: Let's say someone thought they had a terrible reaction to the vaccine and specifically posted asking for ONLY those people to respond which implies they were looking for a place to discuss the issue without controversy and whataboutism. I am sure you would be one of the first on here to respond based on your stance on vaccines. How would you feel if others came on and said "Maybe it's your birth control!" "Maybe it's your thyroid!" "Maybe it's because you had Covid!" "Maybe it's because your pinky toenail is ingrown!"?

I do not believe for a hot second that you would welcome that kind of talk on a thread like that where a person was clearly looking for support.

Oh I get showing empathy, believe me. But that has nothing to do with mentioning “anecdotal evidence” when u urself don’t believe in them and have mentioned plenty of times how irrelevant they are. I just found it ironic how u out of all the people in this forum mentioned them. Also don’t forget this is LIF, do u really think people won’t post on threads they’re told not to post in?? People will always post something we might or might not like, agree or might not agree. It’s a public forum and we don’t have control on what someone wants to post about.

If you do not see the connection between the two, then there is no way I can further explain it to you. Perhaps someone else can.

But it doesn't matter. You are a staunch anti vaxxer who has posted mis and disinformation on this site repeatedly. (Um, no, people are not "playing Russian roulette with any vaccines.") The only reason your childrens' lives aren't in danger is because of the majority who vaccinate their children and helped society reach and maintain herd immunity. You are welcome, btw. I cannot think of anyone whose opinion I would respect less on this type of topic, but I did think you had some ability to empathize. I was wrong. You have the last word as I will not be reading or responding further. Have a good evening.

U or nobody else is responsible for my health or my family’s so no need for that sarcastic “u’re welcome”. My thoughts are similar to urs in the sense of mis/disinformation but they’re regarding to the fairy tales that have been spread for years about vaccines when in reality their dark side is rarely, pretty much never mentioned. U can’t think of anyone else that questions vaccines?? I’m surprised because there are many of us out there, many! I really couldn’t care less if u or anybody else respect my opinion or not. If that was the case, I wouldn’t be vocal about a topic that is so important to me, yet here I am. I don’t get intimidated by others’ opinions and I certainly won’t lose respect for someone that has a different opinion than me, that’s silly.

I know u won’t be reading but I still wanted to wish u a good evening as well. Chat Icon

PS: don’t forget to report me, ok?
