If you had one day to spend in D.C.
What are the best things to see and do with kids? Thanks!

I love the zoo because of the Pandas but it’s outside of the downtown area.
I’d walk around the mall and visit some of the Smithsonian Museums.

Museum of American History (not Natural) Fords Theater (my SO just took his kids, pretty cool) National Archives Museum if it's open Swing by the Whitehouse (get a tour through your congressman)

My husband and son just did this...visit the mall as all the museums are free so you can hope in and out.

I like walking around the monuments - especially at night. You can take a bus tour.
I think the Spy Museum is great (not free). My favorite of the Smithsonians is the American History Museum. Depending on how old your kids are, the Holocaust Museum is amazing but not for younger kids.

Re: If you had one day to spend in D.C.
On our last trip we did a tour of the white house, the Museum of American History, and walked around near the Lincoln Memorial.
We also had dinner at Acqua Al 2 which is soooo good but we did drive to get there.

We just went a month ago and a lot of stuff was still closed b/c of Covid (like the Smithsonian museums). And the stuff that was opened - required tickets purchased ahead of time that sell out quickly. I would highly recommend looking online before you go to see what you can get into.
