just wondering if I am the only mom who will spend the day with my girls but whose dh is working on Mother's Day...
I am taking a Sat course right now so dh switched his days to work Sunday 7:30 am to 11:30 pm instead of Saturday, which means he will be gone all day on mother's day  ...he offered to just take the day, but we could use the money and his aunt and uncle are coming in next week so I told him to forget it, and I meant it, but I still am sad he will miss my 1st Mother's Day w/Kristina!!

My DH is working but should be home in the afternoon... I am sorry he won't be there with you. Will you get to celebrate in the morning or evening at all?

dave is working - my first mothers' day...
i have to drive to upstate'ish NY to see my mom & my sister in law at her parent's lake house....and then i get to drive back for when dave gets out of work and go to HIS mom's house....
yes - my first mother's day will be spent in the car....
you should know you are NEVER alone when work schedules are involved...dave's STINKS & always will!!!!!!!!!

My DH is leaving for Texas for a week-long national conference early Sunday morning - missing my first Mother's Day completely. I'll be spending the day with my son and my parents. I really really really wish that he was going to be home.

Mine will be working from 10-8ish. And I'm sure he'll have to work on Father's day as well...sucks...you are not alone.

I'm working on Mother's Day and it's my first too...but what can you do, we need the $$$ and my Babyboy is the best Mother's Day gift I could ask for.

My Dh had to work my 1st Mother's day. I ended up spending it with my boys and my family.

My DH is working on Sunday too. It is actually a very hard day for him now (his mother passed away from cancer). I am going to my sister's with the kids and my parents will be there so we will have a fun day.

DH is working and should be home by 5. I'm used to it though. Usually he goes in the afternoon and doesn't get home until 1am.

My DH works in Texas and only comes to NY once every 5-8 weeks for a week or two. So, I will not have my DH with me this mother's day. I will have my kids though

DH works midnights so that means that Sun DH will be sleeping. So it will be me & the kids.

my DH has to work the later part of the day, so I'll be having dinner with my favorite girl
I don't mind, cause I am so used to my DH schedule that we make it special when we can.
my 1st mother's day my DH was prepping for a colon test that was no fun. But I tortured him by eatting chinese takeout in front of him

me AND it's ds' 3rd bday tomorrow. we will have him till 3 pm and then we'll be going to his restaurant for dinner and cake though ...but not the same. i'm more upset that it's my ds bday then mother's day.

My DH has to work. He left today and won't be back until Tuesday. I am said about it. We are going to church and then brunch with my parents but, it won't be the same.

Joe is working 6a-7p so we're going to see Babies at the theater...Just Emmy and I. I'll be honest I am sad he won't be here and I know he is too. He couldn't wait to celebrate and wanted to make it special, but now we have to "celebrate" how he planned next Sat. I'm sad, but i'll get over it. mmy and I will have a fun day

HA! I just posted this too.
Chris has to work tonight, then again tomorrow night, so we decided to just go to breakfast and then he'd go to sleep. We did it last year and it was ok, kinda lonely for me, but fun.
Now, he wants to work OT

mine has to be at work at 7, won't be coming home till 9ish.
this is every year.
totally overshadowed however by the fact that he could not get off next weekend. so i am trucking it to the mountains with my kids for my sister's graduation, then the next day is baby's baptism. he is working both days.
