Re: Bad breath...
Yes, absolutely.
I have found that bad breath can be caused by quite a few things...
The early stages (and it gets progressively worse) of gum disease can cause funky smelling breath. The best treatment for this (and a very simple one) is to floss once or twice a day along with brushing, of course. So many people don't floss and the food that gets stuck in their teeth (microscopic particles you cannot see) begins to rot- causing bad breath. It also damages your gums b/c if you don't get the food out with floss your gums suffer-- after long periods of time without getting treated you eventually lose your teeth.
But, people with gum disease- my GOD their breath just knocks you OVER after a while. I have someone in my family (I'm not naming names) who has this problem. He/She rarely- if ever- goes for Dentist cleanings and does not OWN floss So, he/she has very bad gum disease and it is difficult to talk to them w/o
Anyway, it might be b/c of the above OR it could just be bad breath caused from eating something-- Like DH gets funky breath after he eats beef for some reason- so he brushes and it goes away.
Some remedies:
Buy a tongue scraper! If he scrapes his tongue once or twice a day all the bacteria on his tongue will go bye bye!
Drink water- water helps to wash the bacteria out of your mouth where it "festers" causing bad breath
Brush your teeth at least once a day-- I brush twice daily and floss twice daily (while getting ready and before bed)...
If you do this along with a basic mouthwash you should never have bad breath (or VERY rarely) unless something else is going on... like gum disease or some other medical condition that may cause it.
Hope that helps!!!
Don't ask me how I know all this stuff LOL I'm all about the good hygiene!

Re: Bad breath...
We tell each other. Neither one of us has a problem with it either. I'd rather him tell me than punch someone out with my garlic breath. He feels the same way.

Re: Bad breath...
Sometimes, but, thank goodness I rarely have to. The two of us brush, listerine, floss ALL the time. We even keep up with our dental appointments..My teeth are not the greatest, but we try!!!!
