Re: Spin off to PPD with second child?
Yes - I had no PPD with DC #1 and then pretty bad PPD with DC #2. However, my second baby was very sick at birth, colicky for four months and wound up back in the hospital with RSV at 3 months old. Oh, and they're only 14 months apart so I was still chasing around a toddler with all of this going on. Definbitely grounds for depression, post partum or otherwise!

Re: Spin off to PPD with second child?
I think I had a slight case of it with my second. He didn't come home right away and spent first 10 days of his life in NICU at a children's hospital. He was home for a week and then ended up back in NICU for another 10 days. Doctors could never tell us what was wrong with his liver. He didn't get a clean bill of health until he was 3 months.
I really didn't care about anything. I wanted to get away from it all, which is why I think I started working with #2 was 9 weeks old.

Re: Spin off to PPD with second child?
I didnt have it with my first DS but I think I did with #2. I spoke with the Dr. and he suggested meds but I held off.
