I would think it would annoy anyone.
You could answer "Thanks, I've got it...." and then proceed to answer the question or pull her aside & say "When someone asks me a question, I'd like to answer it. If I need help with an answer, I'll ask you for it."
or if you have it in you to be sarcastic, you could tell the person asking that you're a ventriliquist & she's the dummy.
