Although most of the posters are female, I see nothing weird or wrong with a guy posting here. I like it and agree many times with the men's perspectives.

Thank you Kevin for posting this. You summed up what I would have said. I am a man and I started coming here when I had questions about buying a house. Everything that I ever wanted to know is here to be found via the search function. Thanks for all the informative posts on the "Home" forum. I come on NFR to keep me entertained while at work. When we decide to start a family I know there is a wealth of information on here too. I want to know about every step befoe I do through it because I am a worry wart. Thanks Ladies and Guys.

I started out with the Home section, too. There's some really good info there. Parenting was a natural progression. NFR is very entertaining... 
I've never worried about why I post on here. It's LI Families.... I'm part of a family on Long Island.
Plus, once in a while, a man needs to step in to add some logic to a conversation....

DH has posted a handful of times - when our dog Ebony died, when I got my BFP, when Alex was born, and on any threads I tell him that mention NY&Co!! Fortunately he doesn't have the time to post more.
But he has always been impressed by the support and caring shown on this board.
So don't feel you owe anyone an explanation...

Kevin is awesome, as are the other manly men who post here. I think a guys perspective is necessary as it creates balance and adds some levity to some of the topics.
As for being able to recite the Airplane movie, all I can say is anyone who can remind us that "Leon is getting laaaaaaarger" is cool people.
