Be grateful that there is traffic at your house. Its a ghost town around here. Getting discouraged 
However, I agree, 10 minutes is NUTS!

It was probably a last minute thing, and probably a suggestion by the Realtor.
That Realtor was probably showing other houses to the couple and the Realtor brought your place up as a suggestion.

agreed. perhaps next time you can say "no not in 10 minutes but maybe in an hour so i have time to prepare". or you can just have your agent put in the listing (where only the REA can see) "seller requires 24 hour notice for all showings". that way no agent would be ballsy enough to make a short notice request.

OMG someone is going through the same sh!t as me !!! I have 3 kids and get those calls all the time ,I can usually push it till 1/2 hr later....but still my house gets messy fast !!!!! Since my place has been on the market for almost 2 yrs I can't turn anyone down  ! I hate living like this , I work nights I average 3-4 hrs of sleep a night ! I have had enough

I can say that in my experience, it was always my realtor who would call last minute, and I always felt SO uncomfortable about it. One time we got there and a woman was still in bed in her night gown. Granted it was like 11am on a Sunday, but that's just rude to do to someone. On the other hand, if it was me, I'd jump into action in those 10 minutes in this market! Who knows, maybe it'll be the buyer for your house!

I just wanted to tell you that we did that to someone and we ended up putting an offer on the house that night. It can pay to be accomodating. Good luck.
