Re: How do you deal with the bumps and bruises?
My second son is like this, i do the best i can to keep him safe but he bumps his head at least once a day. He has a permanent bruise on the forehead...it's always black and blue

Re: How do you deal with the bumps and bruises?
I really don't know, just this morning I had DD in her newborn-toddler rocker in the bathroom while I was taking a shower and she sat forward in it...and then she went more forward and fell on her face and tipped the whole thing on top of her...I got out of the shower with a head full of shampoo screaming for my DH to wake up and come downstairs...I really don't know how I am going to survive the next few months until she can get around more steadily.

Re: How do you deal with the bumps and bruises?
Em is like this - she wants to know 'how things work' at all times....she's all about flipping her toys over to see the bottom and see what's 'under there'....all about pulling up on anything, everything (she has literally even pantsed me once - pulling to stand with my SHORTS)....
i get anxious a lot and then the sitter tells me - oh that - that's NOTHING....and tells me about her two kids & all of their tumbles and scrapes....
it happens and as they said on modern family....babies are made to withstand what their parents to do them...(or something like that).

Re: How do you deal with the bumps and bruises?
I should mention I'm sure he gets this all from me. I have a huge bruise on my arm from running into a doorway the other day (chasing after him of course). I had a black eye on my first birthday because I was running and fell down a couple of steps. Every time he gets hurt I feel sick to my stomach.

I am so with you and my family thinks I'm nuts because I'm always running to him...
He is pulling to stand and falling over ALL THE TIME and keeps bonking his little head! It's so upsetting..

Re: How do you deal with the bumps and bruises?
DS scratches himself alot and gets bumps a lot. I have a saying "it isn't the first, and wont be the last". Kids get booboos. Its a fact of life. There's not much we can do, short of bubble wrapping them.
