10 month old moms...Feeding Question
Carlie was doing really well taking solds last week. She ate so much pizza at school she didn't dfrink her bottle and could not get enough grilled cheese. This week is a totally different story. She wants nothing but baby food. Is this normal? Anyone else's DC doing this? She has a cough - could this be the cause?

Re: 10 month old moms...Feeding Question
def could be if she is not feeling well. teething could also be an issue. I know when ds is tired he does not like chewing.
It's hard work for their little mouths!
I wouldn't worry too much. At this age most of her nutrition is from her formula, the solids are just practice. If it does continue for a longer time then you might want to mention to the doctor.

I say totally normal. It could be from teething or the cold. Jacob varies from day to day. One day he eats everything in sight, others; i cant get a single thing in him. I just go with his flow. He is not on formula anymore so the days he doesnt eat alot i try to give him more milk bottles. I say just follow their lead.

The cough may be from eating too much dairy. Combined the pizza, the grilled cheese & bottles and she's had a lot. I would vary her diet more if you can.

Re: 10 month old moms...Feeding Question
totally normal....the past few days DD will eat her solids fine, but won't take more than 5 oz of her bottle at a time! She slept ALL night last night on 3 oz after a huge dinner.
Too much dairy does cause the body to produce more phlegm and therefore will cause or extend the life of a cold/cough. I tend to lay off dairy when she's like that and I find myself giving her more protein and fruits with vitamin c and lots of clear fluids.
