10 Year Old Party Ideas
Is it still the "norm" to have birthday parties for 10 year old boys? Since 10 is a milestone I was curious. If so, what other places or are there places more reasonably priced than Q-Zar in Carle Place? I live in S. West Nassau so I don't want anything too far. Forgot to mention, we will just be coming back from disney earlier that month and with Christmas coming I will be on a budget fro sure!

Re: 10 Year Old Party Ideas
Dd is turning ten and we are going to a broadway show. My ds is 12 and birthday parties seemed to taper off by 10. Now it is more just having best friends over for a sleep over party.

Re: 10 Year Old Party Ideas
When my boys were 10 they invited friends over. They ate pizza, played football and manhunt and had cake. Basically a low key boys night with cake. ??

Re: 10 Year Old Party Ideas
We've done big birthday parties through age 9 but for my son's 10th we are going to go away on a trip for a 4-day weekend. I suggested it many months ago and he liked the idea. I see 10 as a milestone.
ETA: I do think though that parties are good at that age too. I know of 12 year olds who still have parties at trampoline places or Dave and Buster type places.

Re: 10 Year Old Party Ideas
Starting at 10 I told my son and my step son that they can have either a party OR a big gift, but not both.
For 10 and 11 my son chose the big gift (10 was a DS, 11 was a an iPhoneX) and then 12 he wanted a party. So we did a lazer tag party with about 10ish kids.
For 10 my stepson did a Fly High party and 11 he wanted a big gift so he got a PS4.
We shall see this year

Re: 10 Year Old Party Ideas
My son turned 10 in May. I had him invite 5 of his best friends over to the pool then we took them all out to dinner to Rainforest Café and came back for some night basketball and DH set off some fireworks for them. They were picked up at 10.
For his 9th I took a bunch of boys to Hibachi. Will probably do something like that again. I did a sleepover for his 9th as well and won't do that again. Too many boys getting aggressive. LOL

Not to hijack, but if you had the Gametruck, how much does it cost? We were thinking of doing that for DS's next birthday (he'll be 9).
