The Ozone Park Debate

needs its own thread. We went way off topic on the other one.

Feel free to post pancake bunnies. Becuase it already makes no sense

So is LI.

if you look at the per capita ratio, it's not quite on par. there is a reason why it costs $3000 to insure your car there vs. $1K on LI

Don't know which one you mean!

There was one really good bakery that either closed or moved on Crossbay, now Heavenly Florist is there

Yes! I have to agree that it has changed over the years but I still haven't found anyone who makes a better rice ball. My Mom would agree!Chat Icon

well I live in bay terrace which is a "nice part" of queens and my car insurance would more then double from what I was paying at my dad's house in sufflok

from suffolk to nassau is a 20% jump

and from nassau to queens is about another 20 to 30% regardless of the neighborhood

It's the difference between living in a city and living in a suburb.

We make it up though, our property taxes are MUCH lower

this is true... but there is a lot more car theft in the area, hence higher premiums. my sis lives in Kew Gardens and her insurance agent told her to keep her legal address where it was (Nassau) becuase her rates would triple.
