11/7/20 - a celebratory thread
I know some people posted in the other one but I wanted one thread with a more positive title where we could celebrate Biden/Harris.
What are you most excited about? Who are you most excited about seeing gone?
Thrilled about the coronavirus task force that is imminent. Paris Climate Agreement, so many things.
There are lots of vile people in the current administration. Don't even know where to start.

11/7/20 - a celebratory thread
I'm happy to see that entire administration go but I'm more excited to see who Biden brings in to his. I'm thrilled my daughter's get to see a female VP. I'm looking forward to normalcy, boring news days, daily press briefings (remember those?), and a president that will attempt to bring this country together and treat everyone with basic decency.

11/7/20 - a celebratory thread
Everything. I’m beyond joyful.
No more barr or rudy Or ivanka or her elf on a shelf hubby No more Betsy deVoss Or Don jr
Seeing all of these cities across the country… People dancing in the street and celebrating having parties in.the. streets !!! People from all walks of life..Should tell you everything you need to know. And it’s funny because we kept hearing how no one has Biden flags, and he has no enthusiasm.. wrong!!
It’s a celebration of inclusion and love and democracy. God bless this country because my faith has been restored, even though we have lots of work to do. I’m seeing tons of people wave American flags, where I didn’t really see that before… It was almost as if the American flag was taken over by Trumpers. Not anymore.
The end of an error.

Like I said to the other poster on another thread, I hope at minimum that everything stays status quo for you… And at best, I hope things get even better. Sincerely. I wouldn’t wish the last four years that many of us had on anyone.
I hope everything is great for all of us and we all get back on track and unite.

I am hopeful our country can move on from being the laughing stock of the world. I would also like to see racism and social injustice finally be a thing if the past. I am not as hopeful on that front- this nation is so divided. Lots of work to do.

11/7/20 - a celebratory thread
I am just hoping that he gets a handle on this Covid situation because I want to start living my life again! For everything else, good luck. No politician really fixes anything so I'm not expecting too much. Fix Covid, don't raise my taxes, do something about racism running rampant in this country and don't use twitter and I'll be relatively happy.

Yes. Low expectations, but after what we just had, even my lowest expectations will be better.

like not having White House super spreader events without masks… And now five more people have it in the White House… Including Mark Meadows. I guess he wasn’t kidding when he said that they weren’t gonna be able to get a handle on it. He would even be talking to reporters without a mask on and would get annoyed when they asked him to wear one.
At least their days are numbered.

At least mass gatherings in the streets aren’t super spreaders ?? oh that’s right, covid is going to magically disappear from the media now.

Increase testing and improve contact tracing and improve reopening strategy that is science based, and follows public health guidance

Thank you!! If anything, we are MORE likely to not suffer through long term lockdowns with Biden. To one of the PP, while I did not vote for Biden (or Trump), please do not turn this into a Biden bashing thread. That was not the intention of the OP.

Why all of a sudden a concern about the Covid now that Biden was elected? Where was the real concern when it was Trump?

95% are wearing masks. Unlike the rallies and events at the White House. That’s the difference. And no, it’s not disappearing. CoVid cases reached a record high in US yesterday.

Re: 11/7/20 - a celebratory thread
Great thread idea. Been celebrating with our family all day.
Where to start? Centering of environmental protection; no "very fine people on both sides" when racial equality and justice is threatened; deference to real doctors and scientists on covid; no gaslighting and hate mongering tolerated by leadership when other leaders are appointed. Restoration of some of our goodwill around the world.
Couldn't care less whether the conspiracy theorists and bitter hearts cling to science denial---Biden and Harris will be in charge and calling the shots.
Couldn't care less if recounts are requested. I never questioned the legitimacy of the last election process and it'll be fine to watch Biden win again in a recount this time.

It makes me happy with all the positivity we are seeing in the streets today. Such a HUGE diff from just a few short months ago. My heart is happy today.
I will be happy to see Mnuchin, Devos, Ivanka and Kuschner gone.

I have to disagree. Streets are flooded with people not wearing masks. I’m watching it. We can’t have weddings or other celebrations....even thanksgiving. But this is ok? I especially love the “police are still pigs” sign. Real classy.
Biden and his supporters said such horrible things about Trump gatherings but now this ok?

Most people were concerned but know now how much false positives happened and numbers skewed. I don’t want to be locked down again when we are more educated to handle this.

Yep and if Biden lost (or loses since only the media has declared a winner) you would have, will see the same thing. Do you really think they boarded up stores for the right?
