Re: 12 Brands Likely To Disappear

boarders and edie bauers = shamelessly overpriced

old navy = very poor quality
(I shopped at the gap yesterday for my son, and I Chat Icon at what they attempted to charge for a single pair of toddler shorts.... Since the quality isn't outstanding, what's their excuse?)

I haven't shopped in the Gap since HS. The style there has never changed. Same things.. over priced & the quality has gone downhill.

I hear ya! The pants are good but the shirts have gotten so thin! I once ordered "whisper thin" shirts--omg! I saw my freckles right through the shirt!

Well, I work for Budget's parent company, and so far we have no plans to get rid of them.

Old Navy is a popular brand with a poor business plan. Doesn't surprise me.

And Saturn's been on the way out for a while.

I love Eddie Bauer - although I have to admit I only shop their sale stuff and at their outlet stores - guess I am not helping their business!

I thought I heard that the Gap stores were closing??

i didn't hear this but would assume of the 3 brands (BR, gap and ON). gap would be the first to go. surprised to hear that it could be ON. seems odd as the apparel is inexpensive and would seem to reach a larger consumer market.

You can take all the ON's in the world away but please don't ever take away my Gap Chat Icon

I feel the same way! I love their kids clothes and shop there for myself as well occasionally. I think they are much better made and have a much better selection than ON.

It would be such a shame if Esquire goes away. I used to work for them, its a really great magazine ...
