16 week appt tomorrow and more nervous than ever...UPDATE

I've been nervous this whole pregnancy for some reason. I have 2 beautiful DD's and for some reason feel like I might be pushing my luck having a third. I feel like I'm always waiting for something bad to happen. I'm no stranger to miscarriage, (i've had 3) although the latest I've had one is 10 weeks, but I've read so many stories of women having late (4+ months) miscarriages and it freaks me out. I've had dreams of bleeding that wake me from sleep and I then rush to the bathroom to check.

Anyone else feeling like this?? If you can spare some prayers for a good dr's visit tomorrow I would really appreciate it.


UPDATE: Thanks everyone for the well wishes. Everything is perfect and Baby D has a nice strong heartbeat. The doctor said because this is my third I should be feeling the baby very soon. I can't wait!!!

I will send you some and some 's. The good thing is, you're already at 16 weeks! While I haven't had a miscarriage (and can't fathom what that must be like), I do wonder sometimes it "mommy anxiety" peaks with each child. It's almost like you feel so lucky & blessed to have 2 healthy, happy children, it may seem like you're waiting for something to go wrong, KWIM?

Were you as anxious with your first pregnancy compared to this 3rd pregnancy?

I was just as nervous for my first as I am now. For DD #2 I was less nervous because I was going to the doctor weekly. So when I would start to feel a little nervous it was time for my appointment anyway.

This time around I was given the choice to go to the doctor every 2 weeks or every 4 weeks. I chose every 4 weeks because my doctor thinks everything is/will be fine. Also, with 2 little ones at home and my doctors office not that close, it would be to hard to get there all the time.

I'm usually good for a week or two after my appointment and then start thinking the worst again.

I'm sorry that you are feeling this way I was definitely more at ease with my first pregnancy and this time around I find myself being nervous about things.

Maybe it's because we have children already and we know how wonderful they are and we really understand the loss it would be if anything were to happen. kwim?

For some reason, I was soooo anxious with #3 as well....it finally wore off once I started to feel the baby....but in the beginning, I totally thought something was going to go wrong.

I feel the exact same way, exept this is my 2nd child and my husband's 4th. I have terrible fear that I "pushed my luck" (the exact words I use) asking for another healthy baby because DH would have been perfectly content with 3. I was the one who really wanted 2 of my own.

I am only 9 weeks. I haven't had any miscarriages, but I fear that and I fear the baby having a serious abnormality. I was worried my whole pg the first time too, but this time is worse.

I will pray for us both to have healthy, happy babies!

I'm always anxious. This pregnancy has been wonderful and nerve wracking all at the same time. I just keep praying until I get to another milestone and then I say that this is how it has been since the beginning of time. Women get pregnant and they have the baby...that's that! Easier said than done! You're not alone

I get nervous like this as well.

I'm 15 weeks.... and I'm still worried.

And honestly, I hate to say it but I read about loses around the 20 week mark and even later than that and it FREAKS ME OUT so much!! I honestly try to stay away from the stories now because otherwise it just puts bad thoughts in my head.

I too had a mc around the 10 week mark. I posted a lot on the mc board... and now I go over there once in a while and I tend to get freaked out and have to leave. I can't really write to the girls or read their posts too often anymore because I get too nervous. I hate to say that because my heart truely goes out to those girls, esp having been there myself. But I can't help it... the stories just get me.
