I was really good friends w/ someone in HS. And for awhile after.
Lost touch. But if I saw her today we would talk. It was crazy going places w/ her back in the day. All the people wherever you go. Forget seeing a movie. Always bombarded.

Depends what one considers "famous"
I'm very good friends with two/three big DJs - who have legitimate platinum selling records.
My family is also good friends w/a retired Met player.
I "dated" someone who's pretty big right now (actor.)
Oh, and I used to work with Bernadette Peter's first cousin.

My cousin and her DH are very close friends with Bruce Willis. I love him so they send me pics of him with their daughter all the time. Once she sent me a pic and it was her, DH, and her daughter surrounded by: Bruce Willis, Brooke Burke (back when they were dating) Soleil Moon Frye, Demi Moore, and Ashton Kutcher

my sister went to college and was friends with Stella Sbrarro - the airess to pizza shops in every mall and airport in the US she went to her house and said is was a huge estate - somewhere on the N. Shore, upper brookville i think.
famous? no. but that's the "biggest" name I could come up with on short notice

my cousin's wife is an actress. not super famous, but she's been on a few TV shows. I was actually watching a TV show and was looking at the screen like "oh, Lauren is on TV". pretty funny!
FSILs went to junior high with Gabrielle Reese. They have pics of her in their photo albums when they were kids.

One of DH's cousins is an actor...not sure how famous he is but he had 2 (short-lived) TV shows.
I know a few artists who are pretty well-known in the art world.

I know my share of some pretty well known singers........
I also spent my time at a summer camp where a lot of hollywood bigwigs/actors/actresses sent their kids. Met sooooo many....
Also my Uncle was a big record producer many years ago and I met a lot of old timers then too.

Not really too famous, but I did find him on a CD I had owned for a few years after I met him- really nice guy- good friends with my cousins.
My BFF is directly related to Leonardo DiCaprio- I can even draw the bloodline. (Her grandfather was his Uncle). But they have never met.

you wanna hear 6 degrees??? my best friends sisters brother in law is the rapper Mims (you know..."this is why i'm hot, this is why i'm hot"). we used to hang out with him back when he was a struggling rapper, its sooooo odd to see him on tv and hear him on the radio now!
and if anyone recalls the "bat mitzvahpalooza" a few years back where 50 cent, Aerosmith, the Eagles, and other well known performers were brought in for a 13 year olds friggin birthday party at a posh NYC hotel....i used to work for the father...a very eccentric billionaire! sorry cant name names, he's being indicted on federal charges!

My Aunt and Uncle became Debbie Mazar's gaurdian when she was 16- I never met her
my uncle reps Rob Bartlet- formally of the Imus show- he is on broadway alot and does Law and order regularly- I know him- he is very nice
I used to be friends with Lilo Brocatio- C from a bronx tale- had we stayed friends - he would not be in Jail- he shot that guy the night of my wedding

I met someone related to your sil's cousin! Not famous and I can't exactly remember his name right now but he told me the same thing and I was like WAIT!! I "know" someone you must be related to somehow!
