Do any of you use them? Is the price worth it? Also, how often does your prescription need to be updated; in other words, I last went to the eye doctor last June...do you think I need an exam?

TIA!

Re: 1800 Contacts

I believe it is once a year. I love 1800contacts, they are reliable and the savings is worth it unless you need your contacts today. good luck!

I use them. I like that they emailed me that my Rx was expiring & I shoudl order new contacts. Pricewise I think they're better.

If your eye doctor tries to charge you to release the rx (as my old doctor did), switch doctors. I was furious that they wanted $25 to give me a prescription when I paid for the exam.

Re: 1800 Contacts

You need an eye exam once every year. I use to use 1800 Contacts but have found Visiondirect.com to be cheaper for my contacts

I used them for my most recent order. I was happy - good prices, fast delievery, and they called my Eye Dr. to find out my prescription cuz I didnt know it off hand.

I thought their prices were great and the delviery fast. They do require a current prescription ie less then a year old.

FYI - last time I went for an eye exam at a local place I asked for the sript and they ended up beating 1800contacts prices.
