19 month old and tantrum from h***... WDYD? BTDT Advice?
DS was overtired last night from a rough night sleeping the night before I'm guessing. But he threw a CONSTANT tantrum last night for over 45 minutes straight. It broke my heart, infuriated me and stressed me out all at the same time. But now, I just feel bad for him.... What do you mommies do when this happens, and has it happened to anyone else? The tantrum lasting this long I mean.
He screamed/cried/hit/kicked/threw himself around for that long. It never stopped until we took him out of the house and he got some fresh air. What do we do? Is this somewhat a normal behavioural thing? Please help.....

I don't know if it's normal, but DD threw a almost 2 hour tantrum on Sunday. We were leaving the Children's museum (so I'm thinking she was overtired to begin with) we stopped at McD's for lunch, but she refused to eat (so now she was also hungry) and when we got back in the car to come home she just lost it. We were over an hour from home so she just screamed and wriggled in her car seat. I felt bad, but I just kept thinking she's gotta fall asleep eventually. When we finally got home I took her upstairs to her room and just sat with her quietly while she calmed down. She finally fell asleep and took a 2 hour nap.
I totally know how you feel!

Thank you for your response, it really helps to know that this is happening with others too because I really felt like it was me and I was doing something wrong...
Anyone else have any advice or stories to share to make this sad mommy feel better? I CANNOT get last night out of my head.
