19 month old nap question

DS is 19 months old. We do CIO but the past 2 days it has been TORTURE to get him to take a nap and when he does finally go to sleep he sleeps maybe 30-45 minutes. He sleeps about 12 hours at night. Do you think it's possible that he doesn't need his nap anymore? What should I do?

No. It's prob just a phase. My DD did this not that long ago and she will be 2 on Sat. It was a good couple of weeks that she cried bloody murder for naps and slept less than an hour. Could be a regression. My ped said to keep offering her the nap. I let her CIO during naps for a couple of days and that seemed to help.

Thank you! I hope it is just a phase. I really think he is definitely too young to drop his nap entirely I just feel so horrible about the crying but there really is no other way for him. He is crying again at night too... it's so hard...Chat Icon

My 19 month old will only nap in the car...and if I do put him down at home he cries...and naps for 20 min...
I cant complain bc he goes to bed at 745 and gets up at 830-
