Re: 1st bday ? regarding food for kids?
I went to a 1st b-day party recently that had pizza for the kids and then ziti, eggplant, rice balls, potato croquettes and chicken francese for the adults. DD was 15 months old and ate the "adult" food.
At DD's 1st b-day party, we didn't do special food for the kiddies. We had ziti, eggplant, quiche, and wraps. Most of the kids ate the ziti. You can also do a vodka penne. If there are REALLY picky eaters, I'm sure the parents will bring a yogurt or something. I don't like nuggets, JMO.

Re: 1st bday ? regarding food for kids?
I had mostly 1 year olds for my first birthday and didn't have a set food list for just one year olds. Their parents fed them pasta, meatballs, chicken cutlets, peas...just some of the food I had out there for the adults. I would do a small tray of french fries and small tray either chicken cutlets or chicken nuggets for the kids or just order a pie for the kids. Just to give you an idea on food I had for the adults..Stuffed shells, lasagna, eggplant parm, sausauge & peppers, peas, meatballs, chicken cutlets, hamburgers, hotdogs, fried chicken, rice dish, 6 foot hero, salad, pasta salad, cold antipasto dish, bread & cheeses. Having a party hero was a big hit and I threw in the hot dogs and hamburgers at the last minute. I got nervous I didn't have enough food. Have fun planning 1st birthdays are so much fun!

The place we catered the food from made sicilian pizza's and cut them up into little pizza bites for the kids. We also has baked ziti, penne ala vodka, lasagna. We did mostly kid friendly food that the adults could enjoy as well.

I agree with this.
