1st day of school for DS today - GO AHEAD AND make fun of us!!
Today was EJ's first day at school.
DH took the day off today. We waited for the bus. Late 40 minutes.
So the bus finally arrives and DS goes in the bus.
We were going to follow the bus but for some reason misplaced the car keys.
We are so organized like that. 
Go on road and follow bus.
Now, he was supposed to be the last one picked up in the route.
The bus takes a route we did not think was the direct way.
Then makes a turn left. Then has no clue what he is doing. Seems lost.
Until the bus turn..... and we saw the driver, we were following the WRONG bus.
OMG.... we are such moron parents. DH and I started laughing about us being such idiots. 
Go back on road to make sure we catch up to the bus. We never did.
We arrive at the school. No bus. DS is not in his classroom either.
Can you read panic a little bit?
Then the teacher tells us (we told her we got separated from the bus. Who would say they followed the wrong bus... really!!) that the bus probably dropped one of the kid to another school on the way before dropping EJ.
DOUBLE MORON!
DS arrived 5 minutes later. DH told me to breathe.
School had not even started.

Actually he did. His teacher said he was great all day. Ate all his food. Kiss one of the TA.
He was not even phased by us showing to school this afternoon. Like.. "oh hi mom" and kept walking and holding the hang of one of the TA!!!!!

The bus had to go to the main road from our street so we did lose sight of it as it turned. Then we saw "a" bus ahead on the road. I had told DH to pass it to make sure. DH told me it was the bus. When the bus turned into a neighborhood by the train station I looked at DH and told him to check the driver. The matron "looked" like EJ's bus matron.....according to DH.  Until we saw a female driver. EJ's bus driver is a male.
Only us... I swear!

That is so cute.
Would you laugh if I admitted the main highlight about my house I just bought is that it's walking distance to the elementary? haha I told Jim I knew that I would never be able to handle putting her on a bus. 
By middle school I hope I'm less panic-y. Then again, middle school is less than a 10min drive, in traffic, with all the lights and stop signs during school season. And the High School is 15mins away.
With only one light between us and middle & high schools.  you could say I thought this through.
But I could so see myself freaking out for those 5mins you waited.
