1st Egg Retrieval
Just got the call. I take my HCG shot tonight and my retrieval is Saturday. Please send some positive vibes my way. I'm super nervous and excited at the same time! I will update once I got my fertilization report.

Re: 1st Egg Retrieval
Best of luck!!! Can't wait to hear your update!
And this is not meant to be a debbie downer at all but I saw your other post about your lining. Although even based on your post it sounds like a fresh transfer could still be possible (your lining is still good), it may be helpful to keep in mind that fresh transfers don't always happen but the option of a frozen transfer isn't too far away. The egg retrieval is a huge process and definitely something to be excited about going through! Hoping for lots of good news in the near future for you .

Re: 1st Egg Retrieval
Best of luck to you tomorrow! And prayers up for a good fert report.
How many follies do they see now? I was pleasantly surprised at my retrieval because they got more eggs than I even knew I had. Sono tech told me I had 8 follicles the day before, but they got 10 eggs!
Hoping everything goes well for you tomorrow.

Thank you for your wel wishes! Originally they said 6 and it was 9 earlier this week now I think it's 11! They just keep going up, so I guess I won't know the final answer until the retrieval itself

Sometimes the egg retrieval process takes a toll on the body (due to overstimulation, etc.) where the doctors will feel it's better to wait and do the transfer when you're only focusing on that step. My doctor told me only about 30-40% of the time a fresh transfer will occur. I was surprised by that and then lo and behold we couldn't do the fresh transfer lol. However, definitely a good amount of posters on this site have had fresh transfers so don't count it out.

Wow so you couldn't do an egg retrieval because of over Stim?

We couldn't do a fresh transfer because of my overstimulation but I didn't have any negative side effects from the overstim and we got a good amount from the ER so no complaints. It just delayed us a bit.

When did they find out about your overstimulation?
