Re: 1st RE visit after BFP - what to expect?
I have not been on this board for long and honestly wouldn't expect this kind of issues on this board... other forums on here yes but here?!?!?
To the OP... I cannot give you advise as I have not been lucky enough just yet to get a BFP but I do wish you have a happy and healthy 9 months!

Not responding to the drama
Usually after a BFP from an IUI you will go in for a beta and then probably get a second 2 days later to make sure its doubling. Then probably around your 6 weeks mark you'll go in for a sono. Then depending on how you are progressing the doctor will release you to your OB.
Good luck! and Congratulations!

Re: 1st RE visit after BFP - what to expect?
Congratulations first off! Honestly, I do not understand why anyone would think that this post does not belong on the IF board. Hilani's post pertains to the RE and most PG board posters do not know about that. I feel like plenty of others have asked similar questions about their bfp's and early tests and sonograms at the RE.
Well, when I got my bfp, my RE did a beta a few days after my positive hpt to confirm, and then another two days later to make sure it was doubling. Then I had a first sono with him two or three weeks after my betas. At that sono, they confirmed the heartbeat and I was released to my regular Ob/gyn, who saw me 3 weeks after that.
Best of luck
