2 more things after giving birth for me....gallbladder and hernia surgery!
YIKES!!! looks like i'll be having surgery next week! they're taking out my gallbladder and fixing my umbilical hernia. anyone have experience with either?
After two PGs my gallbladder has acted up after each one and gave me stones and pain enough to wake me in the middle of the night in pain! and my umbilical hernia has given me an outtie bellybutton i'm so nervous to have this surgery! i'll be under general anesthesia, so that means i'll have to pump and dump for 24 hours for my 2 month old at least i'll be out on disability longer!
wish me luck!!!

I had an umbilical hernia surgery-my son was already 2 when I had the surgery. It was really not a big deal at all, I felt pretty good afterwards, and within 4-5 days I felt totally normal. Good luck with everything, you will be happy when it is all over and you don't have to deal with the pain anymore!

Good Luck!!! I had both done but not at the same time.... My GB was done using laparoscopic surgery and I actually had double hernia from the trio pregnancy and had an open incision repair for my hernia bc I had other damage that needed to be repaired. If you are having both done with laparoscopic surgery the recovery time is ALOTquicker than open incision.

Wow double surgery! I had my GB removed 2 months after having DD...laproscopic. It was easy-peezy compared to my c-section lol. The incisions hurt a little bit for a few days but nothing major. I was holding my LO's a day after b/c DH went back to work. To me, the pain from the attacks was way worse than the surgery. I asked for a pump as soon as I woke up in recovery to keep my supply up, and I pumped and dumped for a day and a half.
Good luck!!!

I used Dr David Halpern in Mineola and LOVED him!!! I wasnt able to lift the kids I was told for 8 weeks but I had alot of work done along with the hernia repair I had to get the muscle reattached....
